An interesting article that I absolutely agree with.

I first started getting migraines when I was around 13 or 14 years old - the first one frightened the life out of me as I'd never experienced one before. Luckily or unluckily for her, my mother used to get them so I knew what to do - and that we to get to a dark room and fast, after taking some anti-migraine tablets to try and catch it before it developed. Most of the time they didn't work.

I too am a believer in using natural foods to give our body the nutrients it needs to perform properly and I have been taking green superfoods spirulina and chlorella for a few years now. I find chlorella fantastic, especially when I want to detox as it really puts me off the bad foods I know I should be avoiding. Chlorella has a greast way of grabbing hold of the toxins in our system and flushing them out.

Spirulina has helped me to lose weight - I was never fat by I have lost some of the puppy fat I was carrying and I now look and feel much better for it - so your article is very relevant and I haven't had a migraine since a friend told me about chlorella and spirulina.

I get mine on line at http://www.naturalgreens.co.uk as they do a vegetarian friendly range which is ideal for me. I hope this helps other migraine sufferers - I've tried many things over the years but can honestly say that once I started to understand more about the importance of putting the right foods into our bodies I have changed my diet, for the better!

Good luck!

Lara just contacted me and told me she had posted this article on the website! I am honored to be here!.

To learn more about Reiki, I recommend the International Center for Reiki Training Website, reiki.org, or my own personal website, ReikiMastery.com I also have videos on Youtube. There are millions of Reiki people out there. do a search on your town name and reiki to find them. (I am in california) Instead of just going to see a professional I recommend that if Reiki helps you, then you should learn to do it yourself. There are also a lot of distance healing sites, including reiki.org where you can request healing.

The technique I use for migraines is easier to use if you are Reiki trained, but anyone can do it who has healing energy in their hands. Think of headaches as a pattern of congealed energy around your head, thickest over where you (or they) feel the pain.

Rub your hands together to activate the healing energy. (Praying can also help) Place your hand directly directly on your head (or the head of person with headache) with the palm facing away from the head. V-E-R-Y S-L-O-W-L-Y pull your hand a few inches to a foot or so from head. If you 'get it" you will feel a heaviness or thickness on your palm or fingers, the person receiving may feel a lot of sensation (like a fish in a fishbowl having the water changed) or very little sensation. This breaks up the pattern of the headache. Repeat for 10-20 pulls. Headache will lift/improve within 1-5 minutes.

I get dramatic improvement in 60-80% of people I try this on, most of whom also report a reduction in the frequency and severity of subsequent headaches.

Good luck in your quest for better health.. Blessings!

If you're a migraine sufferer, you should really be careful with what you eat. A balance diet and exercise i think will help to stop having migraine. There are also some natural treatments a migraine sufferer can try. The good thing about these natural treatments is that they don't have side effects.

Since making the post above I have been contact by a Reiki healer who does distant healings. He says "If you have people who need support they can contact me". Please leave a comment if you'd like to be put in touch. It won't show here automatically, I have to check them out first.
